At B&M we’re proud to offer you the opportunity to gain a formal qualification through our Future Leaders Apprenticeship Programme. Our ILM Level 3 Leadership & Management qualification provides you with the knowledge, skills & behaviours to become a Future Leader in one of our stores.
We also offer apprenticeship opportunities within our Support Centre including HR, IT and Finance. As well as Apprenticeships, we also give our colleagues opportunities to develop their skills with in-house Learning and Development.

If you are joining our Retail world as a Deputy or Store Manager, you will instantly be enrolled onto an induction programme where your first few days will be learning more about the business away from the store. As your induction period moves on you will be fully supported by all of us, because we want you to succeed.
But of course, not everyone will be joining as a Deputy or Store Manager. In our Distribution Centres you will receive the hands-on training required to bring you up to speed quickly with how we do things at B&M. Our highly skilled DC teams will always work with you, support you and encourage you to provide you with the platform to succeed.
And, if that’s not enough, in our Support Centre you will be greeted with a friendly face to welcome you to the business, before we let you join your team. We offer a range of resources to support your development and, as a new Manager at B&M, you’ll get the opportunity to spend time working with other experienced Managers to learn the business. The Learning & Development team offer courses to equip all Managers with what they need to be great retailers, distribution experts or support centre managers.
A structured Management Development Programme is offered to those who are keen to make their way up the career ladder and as we take talent seriously at B&M, we can offer lots of opportunities for progression!
If you’re an ambitious graduate, aspiring to develop a career in Retail or Distribution & Logistics Management, we have a programme that offers the opportunity to fully immerse you within every aspect of our business. All our Graduates spend time in the core areas of our business, including our Distribution Centres, Support Centre and stores.
